McQueen HS Kai Bennedict (2nd from Left) and Connor Ross (Left) lead out the top Northern NV boys runners in the Reed HS XC Invitational.
Kai, the defending Nevada large school XC champion, is also a National Merit Scholar semi-finalist.

.......These 13 students were among 1.4 million high school juniors from across the country who entered the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which served as an initial screen of program entrants. The 16,000 highest-scoring students, who represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, were named semifinalists.
They are among about 16,000 scholars nationwide who will compete for $33 million in scholarships.
